After she graduates, Westerville North High School senior Kelsie Gessner is headed to North Canton, Ohio, to play volleyball at Walsh University. A signing ceremony took place at the school recently for Gessner, who is described by Coach Maggie Stern as “One of the most competitive players I have coached in my eight years at North. She lettered twice and was a captain for the varsity team this year.”

Gessner led the team with 303 digs this season and was also a threat while serving with dozens of aces. Stern concludes, “Kelsie is dedicated and has a great work ethic. I have no doubt that she will make an impact at Walsh.”

In July, Walsh becomes part of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
